Summer Temporary Positions in Healthcare and Social Care

Do you want to make a real difference this summer while also earning some money? We are looking for summer temp workers of all ages who want to help give our healthcare and social care staff the break they deserve.

About Us

The Social Administration in Karlsborg is responsible for elderly care, care for people with disabilities, municipal health and medical care, as well as individual and family care. The administration has about 250 employees and a wonderful mix of experience and curiosity.

We are now looking for summer temp workers for several different workplaces: nursing homes, short-term accommodations, dementia care, and LSS activities such as group homes and personal assistance. As a summer temp, you will replace regular staff during their summer vacation, weeks 26–33. Working hours are scheduled during day/evening/weekend, night, or 24-hour shifts.

Your Role

Your task as a caregiver is to create a safe, meaningful, and active everyday life for our clients. This can involve everything from personal hygiene, walks, and medication to household chores such as cleaning and laundry. We also engage in activities that contribute to comfort and joy. At night, the work primarily involves maintaining calm, either as an awake night shift or with sleeping duty.

The tasks vary depending on where you work:

• In the nursing home, it involves everything from serving coffee with a smile and creating meaningful activities to supporting all daily moments.
• In home care, you are the help that makes everyday life easier for our elderly.
• In LSS, you become a safe and supportive part of our homes and personal assistance.

Together, we help create a meaningful everyday life for our clients, day and night. No matter where you work, your contribution is important – and appreciated!

Your Role in the Summer Team

We are looking for you who are 18 years or older and enjoy working with people, are attentive, flexible, and have an empathetic approach.

It is also important that you can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish. Experience in healthcare and social care is an advantage, but not a requirement – we welcome both young people who want to try it out and older individuals who want to share their experience.
